At the heart of our mission is the belief that every person has the right to health—regardless of social status, origin, or personal circumstances. Our dedicated medical team tirelessly works to provide universal healthcare for the poorest of the poor. We reach those who are often overlooked: orphans, victims of sexual violence, and people without identification documents who have no access to the public healthcare system and cannot afford medical treatment.
A key focus of our work is the empowerment of women and girls. With our sanitary pad project, we offer sustainable solutions to eliminate the lifelong disadvantages caused by a lack of menstrual products. We know that the lack of menstrual hygiene not only causes health problems but also social issues that affect education opportunities and life prospects. Through educational programs on contraception and sexual education, we empower women and girls to make informed decisions about their health. In addition, we support a tailoring project that takes girls off the streets and provides them with education and skills for new opportunities.
We believe that medical care must come to the people. That is why we go directly into the communities that need our support the most. Through field clinics and home visits, we reach the poorest neighborhoods of Mombasa, including the dumpsites. This direct approach allows us to build trust and maintain close relationships with the communities. We not only provide medical care but also accompany our patients on their journey through the often complex healthcare system.
Sustainability is a core principle of our work. We closely cooperate with existing primary care clinics and support them in providing care for pregnant women and other medical services. Through continuous training, our international experts share their knowledge with local staff. This model of knowledge exchange helps prevent "brain drain" and strengthens medical competencies locally.
Prevention is a crucial part of our mission. Our dental health project offers training and provides toothbrushes and toothpaste to improve oral health. We promote awareness of preventive healthcare in communities through free prevention clinics. Additionally, we run awareness campaigns about sexually transmitted diseases and mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria. By distributing mosquito nets, providing malaria treatments, and educating on how to prevent mosquito breeding grounds, we make an important contribution to health promotion.
We place great importance on comprehensive sexual education for all genders in all our projects. Through educational programs, we promote a better understanding of sexuality, health, and mutual respect. At the same time, we are deeply committed to fighting mosquito-borne diseases. Through awareness campaigns, the distribution of mosquito nets, and the provision of malaria treatments, we help prevent the spread of these diseases. We train communities on how to reduce mosquito breeding grounds around their homes.
Our patients benefit from our global network of specialists in areas such as orthopedics, ophthalmology, internal medicine, and more. This network allows us to provide comprehensive medical support and guide patients on their journey through the healthcare system.
Another key focus is eye health. Through vision clinics with professional optometrists, we improve the eyesight and quality of life for many people. We place special emphasis on our Albino Glasses Project, specifically designed for people with albinism. This initiative helps correct visual impairments and provides protection from harmful UV rays.
Our team of professionals are fully commited and willing to invests time, efforts and knowledge to make a sustainable difference. We believe in the power of community and that health is not a privilege but a fundamental right. Through our diverse projects and initiatives, we work every day to make this vision a reality.
We warmly invite you to be part of this movement. Whether through donations, volunteer work, or sharing our mission—every contribution counts. Together, we can break down barriers and create a world where healthcare is accessible to all.
